so i take the fal out for the first time since i got it ( yeah i know what the he!! was i waiting on) so on about the 3rd shot the guy next to me says what was that? well long story short it was my muzzel break!!!!! the guy my wife got it from either didn't line it up correctly or didn't tighten up the set screws . needless to say it's not going back on i'm gonna have the barrell threaded and a flash hider installed . thats the bad the good once i got the gas system dialed in it shot like a champ . i was in a big group of ar shooters and everytime i'd pull the trigger they would jump so i had a good day .:) then i took out my ar and shot it some all in alll a good day on the range

This sounds like an Imbel FAL made by Century Arms during the Ban period. If it is all you have to do is get a die to thread the barrel and then screw on a flash suppressor. The thread pitch is 9/16” X 24 TPI Left Hand

Flash suppressors

Hope this helps
