AK 47, seller says its real russian one, what do you think

Postby Bryan2010x » Wed Sep 14, 2011 1:57 am

First off thank you for looking at this posting. My friend is looking at a AK 47, the seller says its a real russian one. I am far from a expert, however i know this board will know more about this. I just wanted to get an idea of the value of the rifle, if it is russian, just so my friend gets a good fair deal. Thanks again, here are some pictures of it.

You need better pics. The front wood looks Bulgarian

get pics of the the trunnion, and another parts that are numbered. i can almost promise you thats a bulgarian rifle considering the front handguards, the bolt, and mags. most people think bulgy is russian. i wouldnt pay more that $650 for the rifle.

As Quest said, you need more photos. The buttstock is Russian, but that's is as far as I can tell. Receiver has Russian markings, but that's a Nodak option and makes no difference. Handguard does look Bulgarian. We need AT THE MINIMUM, photos of the left side of the trunion (close ups, not blurry). Photos of the BCG and a few different angles of the bolt itself will also help quite a bit. It's common for folks to put Russian (or Russian MARKED) trunions in Bulgie kits and charging a premium.

We can confirm those with good pics. Don't want to say 100%, but we should be pretty accurate. Not a bad idea to get better pictures of the back of the top cover, FSB and gas block too.

The dimples. Only the Arsenal 1.0 receivers have dimples that shape. The most space between the top & bottom of the dimple. GARY N4KVE

That reciever looks like an Arsenal/Saiga, though modified.
