Actually, I worry a bit about the idea of requiring background check to buy ammo. That opens a whole new can of worms. they want to also regulate how much ammo you can buy and how often. I know I'm getting old but I remember buying 22LR for 50 cents a box at every gas station in the county.

Sorry, but I think the shooter owns this one. He initiated the confrontation over a cheap hatchet. He was apparently armed when he initiated it. It is hard to show he was afraid for his life. Maybe should have let it go or spoke to Dad who was on scene.
