Sadlak Ind QC Post Install - Instructions incomplete

Just an FYI…I have a new SA Scout Squad with composite stock. The front factory sling mount is held on by two allen screws that screw into a brass nutsert, not rivets as stated in the Sadlak instructions. Drilling the brass nutserts worked best by starting with a small drill bit and working my way up to the 9/32”, one size at a time, in a drill press. You could also do this with the front portion of the stock clamped flat to a workbench using a hand drill, if you go slow and careful.

It appears the nutserts were installed at the factory while hot, because the composite material appears to be melted around them.

The QC post base has to be recessed into the stock because the base will interfere with function of the op rod. I ground the stock out slightly with a dremel as shown in the instructions and epoxied in place.

All is well, but the Sadlak instructions did not address the nutsert issue and appear to be outdated. I sent them an email on this.

Next....a nice bipod.
