Thanking about making this my next purchase, anyone any issues with theirs? Can you mount a scope or bi-pod or any other goodies on these?

The new Mini-14's come with scope mounts in the box.
They work pretty darn good.
Just do it. :ber

Lol would this be that same one your speaking of? Dont get me wrong ARs are sweet (bc of the millions of setups you can run) but I think they're kind of cliche, I want something a little bit different but still want the ability to do some mods. Can you setup the one I posted above with a foregrip or a bipod, or scope/laser? Sorry for all the questions, Im new when it comes to assault rifles...

reading through the bottom of the listing I found this:
Ruger patented scope rings, adjustable sights, patented scope bases, non slip rubber buttpad, an instruction manual and gun lock are included in the standard accessories. Mini 14 Tactical includes a flash suppressor.

I assume the scope bases is what would be needed to mount a scope, no?

You probably will get more info on the Mini 14 if you have the thread posted in the General Weapons or American Battle Rifles (think of it as a mini Garand). I don't think you can move a thread but a Mod can help you.

Welcome to the site!

You can always buy a regular one and throw on a 'tactical' stock like a tapco

Just curious but how much did you pay approx? And anyone else feel free to jump into this but how do this thing compare to an M4? I feel like everyone and their mother as a m4/ar/carbon15 and this would be a little different and have the same capabilities. Obviously its a few lbs heavier but im not carrying it through the dessert or the jungle so im not really concerned about that.

Have any issues, problems, second thoughts? Anyone can chime in obv

Its not an MOA gun , thats for sure.

I paid $700 for the gun, maybe not the best deal, but it was an impulse buy and he sold the Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x with it for only $500 more.

I've enjoyed it the few times I've taken it out.

YOu will get the AR bug, there's no doubt about it.

Minute Of Angle - its how you adjust sights.

When referring to a tack driver "its not an MOA gun" typically, at least in the way I understand it, means its not a gun that you're going to punch holes in the same spot at long distance, or be that it's not accurate enough where MOA adjustments are going to put you exactly on target.

Long story short, the guns great, but they're not known for long range accuracy. Especially in my experience [smilie=011.gif] [smilie=011.gif] [smilie=011.gif]
