It's an old Romney smear by the usual suspects. He did turn a car top luggage carrier into a dog compartment, with all the conveniences, carpeting, window, water, etc.. because there wasn't room for the dog in the car with the kids. Supposedly the dog loved it, was eager to climb inside, but on one trip the dog got sick, barfed and pooped inside the carrier, and Romney had to hose it out, and clean it and the dog. Supposedly his kids thought this was funny as hell.

Having owned a couple of carsick dogs I really sympathize with him. One dog was sick the whole time, had to be drugged, so we began leaving him in a kennel which he seemed to like. The other traveled with us because he wouldn't eat when left in a kennel. He wasn't quite as bad because he would wait until we were almost home, then get excited and start barfing.

It was joke. Dogs can't vote. Yet.

They should. Dead people can.
