AK Purchase Help

Postby narcosis2001 » Thu Oct 27, 2011 4:37 am

Hello,
Could you please tell me which rifle would be the better buy.I haven't seen any AK sales here lately so I found these on another site.
SAR-1 for 600 in jax
and MAK -90 new from 1994 unfired for 700.
Are these prices fair or what would be a fair offer on both of these?
Is one a better buy than the other as I am new to AK's and no very little.... Don't know if I like the thumb stock on the MAK so is it easy to replace this

Does anyone on here have an AK they may want to part with in Tampa St Pete area? [-o<

thank you for your advice

no and no, order one from

http://classicarms.us/

its your first AK, if you don't like it then sell it and get another variant or something else, but don't over pay for something you haven't researched, maybe head over to http://www.theakforum.net and lurk around a while
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Buy a Saiga and convert it.

I bought a freshly converted Saiga 7.62x39 and couldn't be happier. I bought it and wasn't planning on keeping it. Shot it once and I was hooked. Looking back on it I got a steal on mine!

If you do go with a new one Narcosis, the guys number I gave you does full conversions for $250 w/parts
