M1 Paratrooper Pics

As far as I can tell, everything is original. The only major issue is the broken front band but even that is pretty minor. The "Jimmy" etching is period to WWII. Here is the link to the photos. I think there are about 80 of them so enjoy!

Nice Find.... is it yours ? I have only seen one with the original push button safety in pictures- never in person. If you are patient you can find parkerized WW2 mags around.... it took about a year but i finally got one at a gunshow for my CMP Inland, Thanks for posting!..... jim

It isn't "mine" but it is in my family and at my disposal on a regular basis. One day it will be passed down to me and the history behind it is incredible. We fired over 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions except that one of our reproduction mags (10 rds) fit poorly and wouldn't feed from the left so I chucked it in the trash since it doesn't get fired often and we have 4 others. Eventually when it's mine permanently, I'd get a reproduction sling, authentic replacement gen 1 front band, and a reproduction slip holster the paratroopers used to store it in. Maybe I'd scoop up a reproduction 1911 just to complete a little collection :)

Thanks for the kind words and enjoy! Feel free to ask any questions but no it's not for sale. Means too much to the family.
