Opinions wanted on Saiga AK variant and draco pistols

Postby Jman78 » Tue May 31, 2011 6:42 pm

Hello all,

While browsing classic.us i saw that they have a new Saiga AK variant. Any one have one or have an opinion on them ? It seems like it maybe better then the century build ak's and hopefully much better then the wasr10/63 series.
Also I have always like the Draco pistols, can any one shed some light on them ? Does anyone know if either the saiga ak or the draco have the mag wobble ? Any known issues with either of them ?

Looking at the first Saiga AK at classic arms, it should not have mag wobble as it is "dimpled". I have handled a few Dracos and some did, some didn't. Like most cheap AK's the Dracos are a "crap-shoot" by mail. Really ought to inspect one in person. My personal opinion (same with AR pistols) of the Draco is one of general stupidity and overall uselessness. Like I said, that is my opinion. Having owned a few Century AK's and a couple of Saiga's I feel you are about on equal rungs of the ladder. I have never had a Century AK that didn't work. Most have had wobble, some have not, all of them worked just fine. Never had a Cent. with a canted sight as I never bought one sight unseen. That said, I have has some minimal issues with Saigas.
Again, just an opinion, but don't buy a gun sight unseen w/out a return option.

Getting a Draco is pointless unless you're going to SBR it.
Still waiting for sources on the following:

or go to the bank on a rainy day in a trench coat [smilie=011.gif]
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

I have read about Draco and really didn't care for pistol shooting rifle round - until I own one myself. Now I want more! I am actually on a waiting list for another Draco from CFS. I have also acquired RRA AR "pistol" just last week. Certainly not for everybody, but I like mine- for what they are.
