Nick Ward Has Passed Away

Postby mjmensale » Sat Dec 18, 2004 11:55 am

Our brother Nick has passed away.Image

Details are still sketchy right now but apparently he suffered a stroke on Wednesday caused by a blood clot that went to his brain.

Plans are for a memorial service shortly after Christmas.

They are looking for a recent picture of Nick (even from a Pop's shoot) to use. If anybody can help, let me know.

None of this is in concrete yet until his family gets here, of course.

I'll keep the board informed as I hear things.

We have all lost a good friend today.

Moe

I commend you, my dear Nick to almighty God, and entrust you to your Creator. May you rest in the arms of the Lord who formed you from the dust of the earth. May holy Mary, the angels and all the saints welcome you now that you have gone forth from this life. May Christ who was crucified for you, bring you freedom and peace. May Christ who died for you admit you into his garden of paradise. May Christ, the true Shepherd, embrace you as one of his flock. May he forgive all your sins, and set you among those he has chosen. May you see your Redeemer face to face, and enjoy the vision of God forever.

Nick you will be missed .xup

This is truly a great loss. Nick was a really great guy and gave so much of himself to others.
My condolences to his family and all his friends.

so sorry
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

About two months ago I was looking for M16 handgaurds and Nick, unselfishly, sent them to me without any hestitation and at his exspense. I was shocked by the kind gesture and was going to buy a magizine subscription of his choice to thank him. I am so deeply saddened by this news. I have never met the man, but have read his posts on this forum for a long time. May he rest in peace!

I feel I've been unfairly cheated out of a friend. There's a lot I would hove done if I could have prevented this.

That is so very sad.
Nick exhibited a great deal of kindness to me quite recently.
What a terrible, terrible loss.

That was Nick. He exhibited a great deal of Kindness to everyone on a constant basis. Nick was the kindest man I think I have ever met.

I think Glockpacker said it best. We've been cheated out of a great friend.

Agreed with what the others have said. Nick was one of the kindest, most generous guys I have had the pleasure of knowing. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace brother...

I have known Nick for a few years now and have nothing but the highest things to say about both him and the friendship he gave me.

I am deeply saddened by Nick's unexpected and untimely passing. Some fitting words about God taking the good early are probably appropriate, but I don't know what they are. I do know Nick will be missed by the shooting community and even more so by me.

I am truly saddened and at a loss for words at this terrible news.
While I never met Nick in person I held him in the highest regard.
Nick was one of the most outstanding gentleman that I have ever
had the pleasure to call my friend.

My most heartfelt condolences go out to Nick's Father and the rest
of his family and friends.

I never met Nick, however, I always read his posts and felt he was an intricate “cog in the wheel” of The Florida Shooters Network. The news of him in the hospital was as disturbing to me as if he were a member of my own family. I hurried home from work today to log on and hopefully read some news of improvement about him. As everyone else here, I am deeply disappointed and saddened to hear he has passed on. He was a dominant presence on this board and my impression of him was as all have said here, that he was a great guy, with much knowledge, who enjoyed helping others.
Rest in Peace, Nick.
May God comfort your family and friends.

What a loss. I never met Nick but did buy a gun from him earlier in the year and have always looked forward to dealing or talking to him again, just one hell of a guy and the kind you knew you'd like to be friends with.

May God give you peace Nick Ward.
