I didn't realize that signing up there was such a hardship, but OK. The reason that changes are discussed there is because that site is where it originated and I can't go chasing all over the 'net to every site that the chart has been reposted on trying to track down various claims of it being incorrect. If you don't have something specific to correct then it's probably not necessary for you to sign up anyway.
Your point is well taken, although to use your example, changing uppers will rarely change anything of consequence on the chart since a manufacturer would also have to change their barrels if they wanted to change their feedramps, feedramps being the only issue on the chart that pertains to the upper.
As I've said before elsewhere, the fact that the target keeps shifting when dealing with manufacturers on the far right side of the chart, and stays pretty much constant on the left is a further indication of the kind of quality you can expect from those that adhere to no standard.
Bravo Company, while not on the chart because they only do uppers, is a good example of this. They do EVERYTHING right on the uppers they make. Consequently they have not had any uppers available to sell for at least a year, maybe more. If they were a lesser company they would have just shifted barrel makers and trucked on, perhaps with a lower quality product. They manufacture to a very high standard, and as such they produce a very high quality product, and as such their list of features, specs, and QA procedures never fluctuates.
