New guy from Pahokee/West Palm

Postby Doc_Fuller » Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:36 am

Hello gents,

Well my wife and I are gearing up to move your way. A long story short I am a 30yo retired Navy Hm1(Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer First Class) who spent the majority of my 12yrs with the USMC. Retired medically after my 4th tour in Iraq for those wondering why I retired at 12 instead of 20 :-). Now after having my first summer off after 12yrs it is time to be a big boy and go back to work. I am heading down to Pahokee to work with Valor construction on Tue and my Wife hopefully will be joining me in Jan. I have a million and one questions about FL laws and hopefully you all will be patient. Hope to see and shoot with some of you all soon,

Tony

Welcome home, Doc. At least here in Florida you don't have to worry about camel spiders trying to bite you in the ass at 2 a.m. [smilie=cheers1.gif]

Funny thing is I can honestly say even after a 6mo tour with the grunts living in a trash dump, bombed out office building, and finally a warehouse. Hundreds of miles patrolled on foot and driven. 9mo tour with a EOD security platoon, 9 mo with a STP/FRSS, and a final tour with a STP where I went out to the MTT and PTT for medical support constantly: I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CAMEL SPIDER. And that is enough proof for me that there is a God!

I am the worlds biggest arachnophobe. My only saving grace is I am even more afraid of letting my brothers seeing my punk card get pulled, so when I had a face to face with a banna spider at JWTC in Oki I was able to play it off. But me and spiders are not friends at all.

There is an undeniable cultural difference. It's the difference in the mindset of those who believe they are owed a living, and those who believe success is the result of hard work.

Welcome to the asylum. See if you figure out who are the Doctors and who are the patients. When you do let the rest of us know.

Thanks for you service.
