Anyway, it's an Eddystone that's been rearsenaled. Parked finish, JA barrel, EVERYTHING on the rifle itself is Eddystone, but the bolt is Winchester, perhaps with Remington parts. Butter smooth action, excellent bright bore, and it even has the cleaning kit in the buttstock. The rifle came with a manual, that I assume is a repro, and also the correct bayonet. The bayo is in excellent condition as well, and is a 1917 dated Remington. I'm not sure if the blade has been sharpened or not. Looks like it may have been, but whoever did it did it correctly. The sling is dated 1918 and appears original.
This is my third Eddystone 1917 and my favorite of the three, though I do like all of them for their individual qualities. This is the most correct one of the three, though I wouldn't mind finding an original bolt for it. Nothing wrong with this bolt, though it's covered in cosmo...hell the whole rifle is covered in cosmo. I'm hoping to shoot it this weekend, and I'm glad I picked up more .30-06 from the CMP store the other day.
