Need a rough value estimate

Postby NonConformist » Mon Dec 12, 2011 5:34 pm

ok guy I want to jump to .308, so I want to unload my AR and ammo, but as Im not really 'in the game' anymore I need an estimate-

Bushmaster M4 type w/ an izzy 'hider, bayonet lug, MIAD Grip, VLTOR Modstock and tube, Cav Arms fat M4 type handguards, in over VG shapoe furniture is FDE has a flat top w/ a detachable rear carry handle

1(840 rounds +/- a few) case quatamalan 5.56 in bandos on stripper clips in can

1 of the same but Fed. XM193 in can(may have some WIN Q3131 mixed in)

24 loaded mags in a fuse can, 28 rounds per mag Cproducts mags mostly some GI loaded w/ GA Canned heat 5.56

12 loose GI or CProduct(Mostly GI) mags loaded w/ 28 rounds

5 FDE Pmags loaded w/ TAP w/ covers, only one used

I have a few bandos of other stuff etc plus a several dozen unloaded GI mags but just let me know the above thanks

I think its high time I got a .308 M1A or something

The beating you'll take in a sale may make it a better option to ADD .308 to your fleet. Besides the difference in price to feed the .308 vs. may make the AR a platform you shoot more often.

yeah i was trying to free up funds, I can only spen 1k as is now, that wont even buy an M1A, I was hoping to get another 1500 or so so Ill be able to buy the rifle, a case of ammo and some mags too

Otherwise Ill have to buy a Ruger Scout and then some .308 and maybe after a year or so jump to an M1A, but that leaves me w/o a semi auto unless I hold on to it

You could always build an AR in .308. Piece at a time till it's done. You'll likely spend more, but it'll be exactly the way you want it, and you don't have to blow your whole load at once.

Heck, how about one of the very inexpensive, but excellent good, ole' military bolt action rifles?
They are just as powerful as .308, the ammo isn't any more expensive and some of them will shoot as well as anything you could buy for big bucks.
You could definitely buy one and still keep your AR.

I dont want another caliber that isnt .308/7.62 NATO as its so common. I may keep buying Enfields though, Im addicted, maybe a .308 mauser w/ irons would be OK
