Mourning

Postby Detachment Charlie » Sun Oct 30, 2011 12:16 am

She wasn't a member, just my fiance' of 20-years and the love of my life, she died, quite peacefully in her sleep last night; I awoke next to her this morning. She had been failing steadily, but you can never prepare for the reality of it. The Sarasota EMTs and Deputy Sherrif were outstanding and deserve huge "atta Boys."
There is a large hole ripped in my soul. Every year, I asked her to marry me. But she kept saying no. I know she just wanted to hear me ask, and I was pleased to do so. I loved that woman, she loved me. There is a huge hole in my soul.
Sorry, I just have to let this out. I hurt so GD bad, I want t cry .. and I may, she was worth evry tear I can muster.
In her name, Audrey Hunter, please perform a random actr of kindness. Thanx.
I am old. I am retired. I am a combat veteran. I am grouchy. I am intolerant, and I am judgemental. I am also alive. Thank you. I am off to the range.

Please accept our condolences. Regardless of whether or not a ceremony was ever performed, in my eyes she was your wife, and I cannot imagine the depth of the loss you are feeling.

The act of kindness we have planned for today is to introduce my motherinlaw to the congregation of the church in her new neighborhood following a recent move. The act itself and the prayers we offer today will be dedicated to Audrey.

Peace be with you, my brother.

We're an odd family here. Most of us have never met one another face to face. But we come to know each other, and in an odd way, come to love each other through our posts and the contact we have. Strange that we often know other members of this board better that we do the people next door. The 21st century has brought about some very different human interactions that we knew in the last.

Because we feel like we know each other the sympathy--the shared feelings of loss--are very real. It's in that spirit that I offer my sincere condolences. We haven't met, but I feel that I know and feel your loss and share it. May God bless you and both ease your suffering and show you the meaning He intends in this loss.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend of over 20 years on Saturday.
I can only imagine the grief you are feeling now.
I hope you can find peace somehow in this time of pain.
While I'm not a religious man, I am a spiritual person, and I try to find peace in believing there is a reason for our loss that is part of a greater plan for us all.
I find peace in celebrating his life with his loved ones.
May God bless you and guide you through this difficult time.

Sorry for your loss. [-o<
There is an undeniable cultural difference. It's the difference in the mindset of those who believe they are owed a living, and those who believe success is the result of hard work.
