Remembering our departed members.

[quote="BlackJack"]We're an odd family here. Most of us have never met one another face to face. But we come to know each other, and in an odd way, come to love each other through our posts and the contact we have. Strange that we often know other members of this board better that we do the people next door. The 21st century has brought about some very different human interactions that we knew in the last.

The above is so true. My many thanks for everyone's words of support; I can't lie; they were needed.
The service was yesterday and today is a new day to move forward.
Bless y'all from this transplanted Yankee. =D>
I am old. I am retired. I am a combat veteran. I am grouchy. I am intolerant, and I am judgemental. I am also alive. Thank you. I am off to the range.

So, so sorry.
I don't know what I would do if I lost my old gal.
I'm gonna' go give her an extra good hug, as you ask.

Been there. I lost my wife of 28 years in '98, she died in my arms. It was a shock and I was numb for awhile, but the worst came some two weeks later, when all the relatives and friends had gone back to their own lives and I finally realized she wasn't coming back. That's when you need friends! Trust me brother, you're not alone!

We're still thinking about you, I know it's tough during Christmas. I hope you have friends and family nearby to comfort you and share good stories of yours and Audrey's life together.
