That pic is just too cool!

I only got a chance to meet horse once many years ago -- we setup a sale.

Upon arriving to the location I told myself I wouldn't get caught up in a long conversation with the guy -- just do the exchange and go on my way.

I think I left our meeting spot about an hour and a half later. [smilie=011.gif]

Too many great stories -- wonderful guy to talk to.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere here on FSN, pardons if it was. There is a memorial shoot being setup in central FL (Ocala) by the Sig Forum:

I know nothing, and I can prove it.

Jumpin Jesus I Really Feel Terrible!

I knew Jim for about 8 or 10 years.

What a Super Guy horse was.

He'd go out of his way to make a deal come together.

I remember when I lived in Bradenton and horse came down with a Yellow Truck he had. When he left that truck was FULL of tree stands, clay birds, a launcher, tools, and a couple guns.

I saw Jim a couple times in Ocala and the last time at the Sumter Gun Show.

Jim is now with Our Lord! [-o< He has his hand back, shoots guns everyday, and has an audience to listen to all his Great Tales!!!!!

GOD BLESS YOU, MY FRIEND [-o< GOD BLESS THOSE LEFT BEHIND [-o< GOD BLESS THOSE THAT LOVE YOU [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

I was honored to be a friend of Jim's. I go by "Rotndad" on SIG Forum as well as here. As mentioned I am putting together a Memorial Shoot in his honor. Check out the thread here: http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/451105858/m/520100212. Of course my fellow FSN members are welcome too. Check out the above thread for directions to the range if you are not familiar with it.

Also, a moderator of SIG Forum (Arcwelder76) is coordinating donations to help pay for the cost of the memorial service. If anyone is willing to help in this way check out this thread: http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/320601935/m/325104622 Since you have to be a member to check someones profile for an email address, the email address for "Arcwelder76" is jeffmann@email.com. If anybody would prefer to donate via Paypal (yeah I know, I know) I have an account set up and will accept donations and make sure they get to Mrs Mason. I'm sure she could use the help. BTW I am not a very active member here but I do beleive that IPSCSCOTT and Paragon will vouch for my trustworthiness. If you choose to donate via Paypal, send em an email or PM with "Horse" or "Jim Mason" in the subject line so it wont get lost in my spam filter.

As it stands right now, the Memorial Service is scheduled for 12 December 2009 in Tampa. When I get more details I will post them here.

Feel free to email me or PM me with any questions.

Wow just saw this, I had wondered why he never posted anymore. Thought I would mention he was a good guy, bought a rifle from him once and spoke to him when I saw him at shows. RIP "horse".
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. – Samuel Adams
