Man, they are still crankin out CWPs fast!

I went to the WPB office without an appointment on the 18th to drop off my permit renewal forms, they took me and had me out of there in 30 minutes, and today my new permit showed up. The NFA branch of the ATF should learn something from the FDOA! "This guy already has fourteen suppressors and six machineguns? Just give Tony the stamp and be done with it!"

They are pretty darn fast.

My renewal using regular mail from Tampa took 13 days including weekends.

854,371 licensees as of 9/30/11, so they must have it together at FDACS. That's over a 100,000 renewals a year, if they all keep their licenses up.
...and they think I'm compensating for something?

Took my renewal to get done over on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd in WPB and it went real fast.
It took me longer getting a pic at Walgreens than in the place.
Nice people over there.
Now the wait begins but I got until Feb.

I had my appointment at the Tampa office on the 21st and my CWP came in today's mail. That is 10 working days over the Holidays. Impressive, and less than one month since I made the appointment in the first place.

I just did my renewal which took less than two weeks - more like a week an a half after I mailed it out.

I'm new to Florida. I got an appointment in Port Charlotte on Apr 22, the CWP was signed Apr27 and I had it in my hands Apr29. One week from paperwork to card in hand. Even with the 2 1/2 weeks lead time on the appointment it beats the 3 1/2 months it took in Arizona 5 yrs ago. PS, my wife and i took the course and applied the same day in AZ, she had her permit 3 weeks before mine came, and still my license number was 2 numbers lower than hers, go figure...

What's even better is that if you renew early you don't lose that extra time.

Mine was due to expire the end of April (last week). I sent my renewal in back in the end of February and had it back the 1st of March. My renewal expires at the end of April 2019... not Feb/Mar 2019. [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif]

on a side notes, there's over 900K people currently licensed to carry according to the state website. that is bigger than the reserve military forces of China, or 1/5 of their entire military forces, JUST IN FLORIDA.
