I am looking to buy a semi auto style .308 rifle as soon as I sell my .50 BMG. Something like a DPMS but maybe a little better quality. I want this for target work so it must be accurate. Are they as easy to build from parts as a regular .223 AR and if so, who sells the lowers and how much? I have seen several I like in the $3000 range but think one could be built with quality barrel and parts for a good bit less.

If you can wait a month or 2 RWMD is going to have some really nice top quality 308s. I dont think he has a webpage up yet.

Not in a great hurry, need to sell the .50 first.
