I figured today would be appropriate to give a shout out to the Devil Dogs out there and tell them Happy Birthday. Also an early tip of the glass to my brothers (and sisters) in arms out there in advance of Veteran's Day tomorrow.

I'm a little older, a little slower, but I'll still knock the wings off of that fly.

For the formalities, my name is John and I'm from CFL. My uncle Mick is a regular here (Hi, Uncle Mick!) and I enjoy meeting up with him to sling lead when I can make it out that way. I'm a better rifleman than I am a pistolero but I still hit my target. Did some time in the Army and found myself medically retired after 7 years of smashing down doors and humping a ruck through "Indian Country".

Now that that's done I'll go back to reading and maybe submit a post of my own now and then.

Yep, I do believe that's him. Hell, I don't care what everyone else says about him he's alright in my book.
