Just a few points. From my understanding Anvil lowers are made by LAR. In addition there are a few other players in the game mainly API and Keiser. Keiser Defence is one the suppliers for Spikes now as well. API is making Armalite lowers and for some other companies as well.

Well, the list is incorrect and so is Jon from Anvil.

Colt makes their own receivers. They bought Diameco and renamed it Colt Canada and forge their own receivers. [smilie=011.gif]

Tactical Machining Lowers

Postby EODCEXC » Tue Mar 10, 2009 6:21 am

Tactical Machining is also in the market. They build complete guns but mostly manufacture lower receivers. The work is top notch and they have some interesting items for the near future.

One correction that I haven't seen mentioned in here. LMT doesn't make KAC's lowers. Knights machines them in house from forgings.

I was under the impression that Spike's lowers were made by two different companies, depending upon whether they were color filled. Anyone care to clarify this?

Spikes is using Kaiser and Lar and API now. Color filling is done in house at Spikes.

I just bought two Spikes lowers today. After some investigation. one is made by Lar, and one is made by Aero Precision. I much prefer the one made by Lar and may try to exchange the Aero Precision one if the magazine catch doesn't smooth out (kinda rough feeling)

Edit* After playing with the magazine catch for a little bit and a quick 300 rds of break in, the magazine catch on the Aero Precision one has smoothed out and is as nice as the one made by Lar.

So who does Les Baer get their lowers (and uppers) from??? [smilie=pdt_xtremez_23.gif]

I can't imagine a custom company would forge their own. [smilie=pdt_xtremez_24.gif]

Anyone know who makes LBR? Its my understanding they are out of NY i purchased a lower from tropic lightning and built it up other than the trigger pins holes being ever so slightly too big it was a great lower.

You can find AeroPrecision lowers at Surplus Arms and Ammo. I just bought a complete lower assembly for $179. I mated it with a PSA complete upper and, after 300 rounds I am liking it more each day.
