"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." --James Madison, speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788

Draco with a regular gas system, 16" Barrel, and a stock. Meh.

I just got one of them it shoots very good. Have seen people put 1 inch groups at 100yards with them. I haven't tried but it seems very accurate and runs whatever you put in it.
I'm happy with it.

it's made in Romania by the same factory that makes the WASR's. It uses the draco front sight and a cool looking muzzle brake instead of the normal slant brake, and has "tactical" furniture.

They are imported by some new company (not Century), so i'm not sure who's doing the magwell conversion and how good it is, but just like a WASR, they have to be imported as single stack versions and dremeled out once they get here.

The muzzle brake is a Tapco, the stock is a Tapco and the trigger is a Tapco. The trigger is very smooth and crisp.

these things were supposed to be introduced at a lot lower price, word on the street is they haven't sold very many....I'd be interested at about $ 259 tops [-(
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Agreed.

Maybe $300.

But I can get a 7.62 ak for less than 430.. Why would I buy a 22 for that?

I agree. I haven't bought a GSG AK yet, so why would i buy one of these for $100 more? I like the idea, and this definately looks higher quality than a GSG, but $300 is the most i'd spend on one of these. If i ever decide to spend $425-$450 on an AK-style gun in .22lr, it will be for a Krinker Plinker Ruger 10/22 conversion.
