Read deeper into the question Scott. I know the link is only showing the front sight gas block that I am looking for, I didn't link to the METAL "para" type buttock because its pretty obvious what that is.
the front block will have the cone break like the Yugoslavia krinks have.

To get that gun in 5.45x39, you'll have to build it or have it built. If you want that gun in .223 or 7.62x39 just search on gunbroker/gunsamerica for 106cr or 107cr. Most if not all of the CR models have the solid folding polymer buttstock, and K-VAR has been out of the metal skelton replacements for awhile. (i have a 107f that i want to put the metal skeleton stock on instead of the folding polymer one)

Arsenal made the 106/107 (that's .223 or 7.62x39) CR and UR models that were intended to be vut down. The one you linked to is a CR model and is meant to be but down to a 12" barrel, but it still has the standard size front handguards and gas system. The UR model is the "krink" model with a krinkov gas system and handguards and is meant to be cut down to a 7-8" barrel.

Here's the piece you'll need to use with a AK-74 kit http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=16579&cat=274&page=1

I would call K-VAR and find our if that barrel is Russian or Bulgarian, and either buy a Saiga or Bulgarian 74 Kit to go with depending on which country of origin it is. Nodak makes a receiver for the left side folder, and K-VAR has the solid polymer ones in stock for a pretty penny (actually they're out of stock now)

Ok now that's a post.
So its gonna be a custom build, I sorta figured.

I like the longer 12" version versus the krink mod.
Just do to time and lack of equipment to press together a kit, who is Fla is currently available to build it?

I've heard good things about http://www.ak-103.com/rifles.html but i'm not sure if they're able to do SBRs or not. If not you could always have them build it with a "permanant" muzzle device on it, until you get you tax stamp back and make it "un-permanant".

I agree with you that the 12" barrel seems better plus being able to use whatever handguard you want is easy/cheap, but i must say i do like the Krink sights better on a close quarters weapon. One of these days i'll finally get the SBR Krink i want, but they're just so damn expensive compared to a SBR AR-15 that i just keep buying 16" barrel AKs.

I'm holding my breath that Arsenal may release another batch of the CR and UR guns, and maybe in 5.45x39 this time too since they've been sold out of them for awhile, but who knows. If they do i surely won't miss out on them again.

And now that i'm thinking about it, you could go another way...

If the gunsmith you choose to use is competant enough to cut down a barrel and recrown it, you could use this piece and reuse your cutdown original barrel
