I got a call today from Mike ( Maddawg918 ) to call Linda Taylor , wife of FSN member
Ed Taylor ( Metco ) She said that Ed had always said if something were to happen to him she was to call me and Mike and let us know.

He passed away New Year's Eve, apparently from complications from his COPD.

Mike and myself had known Ed for several years. And every now and then a bunch of FSN members used to gather at his house when he lived in Wildwood to buy/sell/trade guns, knives, holsters, ammo, etc., kinda like a mini gun show. We all hated it when he moved up to NC, But we always stayed in touch with metco. He was family to us. And a great friend to lot of members here on the forum, Ed was one of those people that went out of his way to make people happy and to make a deal. He was the king of horse trading.

I'm sure everyone is really gonna miss Ed. It was an honor to be able to call him our friend.

RIP Metco.

That's too bad. Ed seemed like a great guy although I only met him twice as he expedited a few deals between us when I lived in Lady lake. Our sympathy to his wife and other family.

i met him a few times one of where he let me and another member meet at his house to work a few on a few items . he was a very nice man and will be missed

A great guy he was. And yes, it was a bummer when he moved to Carolina.

But I have to say, he certainly was realistic about the medical shape he was in! He could make jokes about moving on with no trouble.

When I first met him, he said he was on his last leg. I'm glad he stayed around as long as he did.

My sincere condolences to Metco's family. He was indeed a great guy, we spoke on many subjects and was always genorous and free giving of his time.

I have next to me the hunting forms he sent me for SC, as he thought I would love the area and the hunting available.

Never had the privilege to meet him but he sounds like a good guy by all accounts. May he rest in peace and my condolences to the ones who loved him.

I am proud to have known Ed.

He will surely be missed.

My sympathies, I always liked Metco. We used to frequently talk before and for abit after he moved. He'll be sorely missed.
