There is an undeniable cultural difference. It's the difference in the mindset of those who believe they are owed a living, and those who believe success is the result of hard work.
Met him once when I delivered a custom rifle rack I built for him. Great guy, and the wife made an awesome glass of Iced Tea!!!
He will be missed, but he's in a better place now and not suffering from any infirmaries of this corporeal existance.

Ed and I had years of ongoing on-line discussions dating back to the time I was a moderator on this site. We continued these periodic discussions over at gunboards.com as well for the better part of a decade after I stopped being a moderator here. He was very knowledgeable, likable and outgoing. I will miss his emails and cheerfulness but pray he is out of pain and in a better place.
This is terrible news indeed. I went over to him a couple times to do some "horse" trading. We would talk guns some but we would talk more about copd and enphysema.I have the same disease so the conversation would drift to that issue and we would discuss medications, sorry ass dr's,stuff we use to be able to do before when our lungs were better etc.. Sad to see it take him finally. I would see and feel the frustration he had just trying to make it out the door; having to pause on the front porch a bit before making it outside etc.
