Garand and M14 Extractors

Postby captyg76 » Mon Feb 07, 2011 11:25 am

I want to get a couple of spare extractors. My usual sources are out of stock with no stock due in any time in the forseeable future. Saw this site: http://www.762mmfirearms.com/milledextractor.aspx

Anyone have experience with this seller or know of a reliable source? Numrich has them for about $15 but I'd really like to get a new USGI or 2.

Thanks!

I have gotten parts from here before:

And Sarco has parts:
http://www.sarcoinc.com/m1g.html

Not sure if Sarco's are USGI or not.

Thanks guys, I'm familiar with and use Fulton Armory and M1garandrifle.com. FA is really limiting extractor sales because they are still trying to find a dependable, quality source for them. M1garandrifle hasn't had the extractors in stock for quite some time.

I got a few 7.62MM M-14 extractors a while back.
The parkerizing was so-so, but the dimensions looked ok. I haven't used them, don't know how they function and keep them for spares.
I know Jon Wolfe had some good USGI ones a few weeks back. Not sure of they were pull-offs or NOS, but for spares, I don't know if it even matters.
The ones I got looked very good and unused.

I wouldn't purchase anything from Fulton armory. All there parts, so they have told me are made in house. I have, on more than a few occasions after purchasing M1 Carbine and M14/Garand extractors fail on me. They we not properly heat treated and became distorted only after less than 50 rounds fird. I will only purchase genuine USGI components, which are getting more difficult to locate. BillRicca.com
