GENERAL FORUM RULES

Florida Shooters Network is a privately owned public discussion board. The Owners and Staff of Florida Shooters Network want this to be an enjoyable place to visit and participate in for members of all ages, races, religions, ethnic backgrounds and political persuasions. All communications and opinions posted on Florida Shooters Network are solely the responsibility of the individuals posting said communications and opinions. The Owners and Staff of Florida Shooters Network do not endorse said communications and opinions nor do they represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of said communications and opinions.

The following ground rules are the basic foundation to which we expect all members to adhere to. Indiscretions or outright disregard for these rules may result in violators being warned, either in the forum directly, by PM or by email. Repeated violations may result in loss of posting privileges and/or loss of membership. Your Florida Shooters Network membership may be terminated at the discretion of the Staff. These rules are just a general guideline to the type of behavior expected of our members. Situations which haven't been specifically addressed will be handled by the Staff on a case by case basis and the rules may be revised from time to time. Enforcement of these rules is the responsibility of the Moderators and Administrators. A poster who makes positive contributions and is a valued member of Florida Shooters Network may receive greater latitude in adjudication than a new member might.

Here are the rules :

1 - No Flaming. This includes personally directed insults, baiting, name-calling, and general antagonism of a personal nature. Posts that are intentionally disrespectful of a Florida Shooters Network member are prohibited. Any harassment or harm, whether intentional or not, of a member will be dealt with harshly. Situations that cannot be handled internally may be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

2 - No Profanity. We have a word censoring feature and use it to a limited degree. Creative use of consonants and symbols, while allowed, does not relieve the profanity restriction. Repeated borderline streams of invectives are not encouraged, depending on the topic. Hillary Clinton is an exception, for example

3 - No Blatant Racism or Attacks on specific religions, ethnicities, sexual proclivities or any other specifically defined groups is permitted. Measured discussion of these topics is fine. The rational exchange of ideas concerning relations as they affect our society, culture, and liberty should be factual and not slanted.

4 - No Discussions Involving Obviously Illegal Activities. Depending on the specific circumstances, the Staff may decide to involve the appropriate authorities where deemed necessary.

5 - Decisions made by the staff are not open to member discussions in the forums. Members found initiating and/or participating in such discussions may find their memberships temporarily suspended or terminated without warning.

6 - Avatars are limited to dimensions of 70 by 70 pixels and 8200 bytes in size. Animated gifs are permitted as avatars but not in sig lines. Violations may be deleted without warning.

7 - Multiple Accounts. Members are limited to one user account. Members found to have multiple accounts will have their membership terminated immediately. If you have problems with your existing account, notify an administrator. Don't open a new account as it will be deleted without warning.

8 - No Links To Any "pay for use" Sites (eg; Gun Broker, Guns America, Ebay, Guns International, etc). FSN provides our forums at no cost to the members. We aren't going to support a pay site when we get nothing out of it. Any such links will be deleted.

9 - Acknowledge The Author. If you post someone else's articles or pictures, in part or in total, provide a link to it or the post will be deleted. While posting other's articles and/or pictures usually falls under the "fair use" doctrine, these works may sometimes be copyrighted which can result in copyright infringement.

10 - No Post Scrubbing. Your membership will be immediately terminated if you scrub (delete), in part or in full, the contents of your posts, regardless of the reasons for doing so. Changes to BST ads are not affected.

11 - No Pornography. Neither pictures nor discussions that the staff determines to be pornographic in nature and that may be considered degrading to male and/or female members. The staff reserves the right to remove the offending item without notice.

12 - B/S/T Forums. New members must wait 30 days before they can buy, sell and/or trade in any of the B/S/T forums. New members may participate immediately in all other forums. See the B/S/T Forum Rules for more details.

13 - Political Forum. There is nothing inherently wrong with spirited political debate as long as decorum can be maintained. Because of the higher possibility of conflict, whether intended or not, the staff will be less forgiving for any indiscretions or outright disregard for the above rules which may result from members pushing the envelope.
