Dradw Has Passed Away

Postby mjmensale » Fri Jun 24, 2011 8:21 pm

Member dradw - Allen Weiner - has passed away from lung cancer. Apparently he only found out about it a couple of months ago. Allen was a semi-retired judge in Palm Beach County. I met him a couple of years ago. Nice guy with some interesting tales of his former life in NY (I believe).

there was a motion on the floor for a Life, Health and Remembrances section for the forum, but it somehow got dismissed or shot down :-k
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Sad news indeed. Moe, thanks for keeping us informed. If you are in contact with this family and they are need of any assistance, please let us know.

Prayers out to Allen's friends and family.
There is an undeniable cultural difference. It's the difference in the mindset of those who believe they are owed a living, and those who believe success is the result of hard work.

Sorry to hear about his passing. Anyone know how old he was ? Cancer sucks I lost both of my parents to cancer. Something is ass backwards, you work all your live to get to this point were you supposed to enjoy the fruits of your labor and then you get diagnosed with cancer.

RIP Allen.

Did a deal with him once, and talked for probably 45 minutes when we met up. Seemed to be a real good guy.

RIP, sir.
