CProductsLLC is no more

Postby NonConformist » Thu Oct 27, 2011 2:36 pm

y'all may already be aware, but I was not as I no longer hang out online much anymore, and am outta touch w/ the shooting community. I found out when i went to place my yearly order of mags, and couldnt find any, nor was the website their anymore etc. Evidently they had a court ruling against them and the guy shut them down and took their production, heres the info from the man himself-

Ok here is what everyone has been wanting to know. C Products doors are closed so I will tell you the whole story. I am not going to answer questions, what you are going to read is what it is.

When C Products started we had a coater and we signed an exclusive contract with him to coat our magazines. Why we did that I am not going to get into but we did it without legal counsel. When Bushmaster asked us [they were our largest customer] to change from moly to teflon we went to our exclusive coater to produce it. If you were involved with the "group buy" for teflon magazines you know how bad they were. He never could get it right. We needed a supplier and found one for teflon coating and the original coater sued us for breach of contract and in a Connecticut court won the case [details I will not discuss]. We tried for almost a year to work out an agreement and never could. In January he executed the judgement and for all intent and purposes put C Products out of business. He has 2 robotic cells he took as part of the judgement and is trying to start a magazine business. You guys can be the judge of how well he is doing. I was offered by him to be a major distributor and that never materialized. Surprise, surprise!
Also I want to be perfectly clear, C Products was NOT sold. It has closed its doors. Out of business.
Further for the record, Chad and I have the same last name, he is my son. We never had a business before in this industry etc. etc, so all of the rumors are just that. As far as being thrown out of the company I am 50% owner and always have been no matter what my partner may have told the guys on the 6.8 forum or anyone else. Fact is the information given to individuals on that forum and others was total bullshit. I have NEVER charged a credit card and not shipped product. That you need to take up with my ex-partner. That's his style.
LCJ Wholesale LLC has product http://www.lcjwholesalestore.com and will continue to build their product line. The final chapter will be written next month.

The guy who ruined them named his company AMMOSC so Ill be avoiding him as I LOVED CProducts company, always good guys but anyway now I know [smilie=012.gif]

Must be late as I understood less than half of that.

They were decent magazines but even better was their attitude to fix things when they were not up to your expectations.

They would send new anti-tilt followers to anyone that asked no charge..

Sorry they have closed their doors and I will avoid the AMMOSC company

That's a real shame. I considered their Stainless 30round AR magazines to be some of the best mags I had. I upgraded mine to CMMG twisted wire springs and felt like they were pretty much the equivalent of the uber-expensive H&K Marine Mags for 1/6th the cost. I recently picked up some of their 7.62 SR-25 compatible 20 round mags and was considering a big-time shift to those instead of the Magpuls for my webgear. They are well made, reliable magazines and the Magpuls don't fit the pouches well- though they are also superb mags for my DPMS.

next to NHMTG mags CProducts were my favorites, and If I had any issue they made it right. turns out i turned in my collection of non working mags from them for replacements just in time. They came back on the market overcame their shitty reputation from long ago and made an outstanding company w/ awesome CS, they will be missed

Before P mags became the rage, I bought quite a bit of their mags, even the drippy teflon mags. I had an issue with their version of ranger floor plates and spoke to Larry direclty and he sent me replacements immediately.

I swore by their AR mags, but their 9mm AR mags were shit. I have a few of them and they jam in the SMG all the time. I contacted the company and never got a response. When one of the 30 round 5.56 mags split at the welds, I contacted them again and never got a response. After that, I was done with C Products.

I have a few of their 9mm mags from a rob_s group buy. There's about 3 of them that cause feeding problems in my AR. I figured one day I'll take a close look to see if there were discrepancies in feed lips, etc.
