If it's a FAL it's probably 7.62x51, (.308).

I personally wouldn't mess with the steel cased ammo in a FAL, I picked up surplus cheap, and you can get new ammo in the bulkpack from walmart around .75 per round. There's been some reports of primers coming out of the pocket and jamming the rifle up.

Check the BST, there's some surplus ammo there.

what kind of fals are you guys shooting that steel case ammo through?
doubt that is helping the life of your chambers.
what about laquer goop?
hope you are not shooting it through high dollar belgian or aussie guns. :-k
