Ok I'll start with a semi-formal pic of Happy the idiot Beagle:

Here is what he looks like when he's just being himself:

And here is my little dog, I named him Michael:

My lil buddy...

Here as a young pup

We got his brother also and he went to my sister and her kids. Unfortunately he was hit by a car and killed a couple years ago.

4 years old now and my best buddy. He was a Christmas gift for my wife, but he likes me best :)

My dog also likes me best, or listens to me better than to my wife.
It's an alpha male thing where the dog senses who is actually in charge and tends to devote his or her attention to that individual.
I'm no dog whisperer but thats my observation on how my dog reacts to me and my wife.

Jon

See a trend here? She sleeps like 20 hours a day. Lol.
I have another dog too. She's a mutt but I don't have any pictures of her with me right now.

My dog, Dixie wearing her bikini. She's a rescue dog from Miami. She was a mess when we got her. She has turned into a marvelous dog. Here she is hunting squirrels.

Your Maximus is a beauty.
Guess beauty and brains seldom come in the same package.
When I was a kid, we had an extra large Boxer, who must have dribbled out his brains somewhere.
Big, beautiful and dumb.
My Grandfather lived about a mile away and sometimes borrowed him.
The mutt would invariably wander off and get completely lost, requiring us to spend the rest of the day trying to find him.
He had no clue how to get home.
