I used to own an earlier version of that called the Carbon-15, it's polymer versus aluminum...... I'd say save up a few more dollars, there are several options in that $ 7-800 range now.
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

+1

I would also recommend that you check out Bravo Company Manufacturing. It's amazing quality and you can stay in that $700-800 range.

Just FYI this one doesn't come with a forward assist or dust cover.

I made a mistake when they first came out from Bushmaster and bought 2 of them, one of them in 5.56 and one in 9mm. The biggest reason not to get one was the propritary barrel nuts. If you ever want to change a barrel you have to send it to them because they are a totally different nut than 99.99999% of the ARs on the market. Had I know this I wouldn't have bought them, but who thinks to check the barrel nut before you buy and AR since it is a standard part.

Like others have said a lot better gun could be had like a Spikes or BCM

or pick up a Spikes lower locally and then order your upper from BCM
