Anyone here know a member named harrycrumb

Postby Jeepsnguns » Sun Feb 19, 2012 9:01 pm

Anyone know this guy?
This is the second time I have had an item for sale and harrycrumb pm's me with serious interest and I reply only to receive dead air in return.
The red flag for me is he has 0 post count in his profile.
Just sort of strange and wanted to throw this question out there.
Regards,
Jon

I do vaguely remember a member by hat name. Have not heard in a long long time. Post count could be due to lurking since the last purge.

The thing is my response back to his PM was never looked at.
Same thing happened last time which is why I'm bringing this up.
Here is the actual quote: "Do you still have your 686 for sale. If so i may have interest, im only 20 minutes from bradenton. Hope to hear from you."
I PM the guy back and it is still in the out box, he never reads the reply. Second time this has happened.
Just very odd, what else can I say?
Multiple personalty disorder and forgetting you responded to a for sale ad, forgetting you joined a gun forum?
Regards,
Jon

Forget about that, rather than stirring up shit how about you start offering Beer and shot glasses with the FSN logo.
One size fits all with beer glasses, and you don't have to be bothered with pesky color choices.
Do something useful with your spare time, I'm ready for a career change, maybe we can start up a micro brewery FSN Lager, FSN Stout, FSN Summer Ale you get the picture! :ber [smilie=011.gif]
I did some home brewing a few years ago, not that difficult.
Just have to keep things super clean, we can do that!

It's just his wife having gotten access to his account, seeing the messages first, and deleting them before he even knows they were there.

Jon,

There are some good guys out there who still have a life (I know, I know- hard to believe) and just don't hit the forums that much, but there are also the miscreants who register, wait, lurk and then do underhanded shit. I'm sure that there are some who register under several usernames in advance so that they have the 'cover' of not being 'new' member when they hit the BST forums. A few months ago I answered an ad here from a member named "candrdan" for some MP-5 gear, thinking that it might work for my GSG-5. After I hit his paypal account the name just sounded familiar so I googled it. His name was Dana Reed and he is roundly-despised on gun boards everywhere. Well, my transaction worked out OK, the gear arrived in good condition and shortly afterward he was banned from FSN, but the moral of the story is that a determined dirtbag can survive in even the cleanest environment (like a cockroach) and we should always be cognizant of that fact. Fortune favors the prepared.
