Anyone ever fired one of these

Has anyone ever fired one of these rifles FN SPR A2's with A4 McMillan stock in 308. I have been thinking real hard about getting a bolt gun for the past four months. I have research bolt guns and with all the options available it seems now that the more I read the more confused I'm getting now. The specs say nothing about the trigger on this weapon though. So I hope someone here can help me with more info and knowledge about this weapon. Maybe give me some info on what you have as a long range shooter in 308. I want a 308 because of availability of brass and bullets for reloading. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. Will mostly use it to shoot long range at Manatee Gun Club. Here's spec and pic

The FN A2 SPR features a Pre-'64 Winchester-type action with claw extractor, Controlled Round Feed (CRF) and a three-position safety. It has a 24" chrome-lined barrel, a McMillanTM A4 adjustable tactical fiberglass stock with undercut buttstock profile, an adjustable cheekpiece and a detachable box magazine (DBM)

FN Special Police Rifles of all iterations are noted for being both very accurate (.5 MOA or somewhat less is not uncommon) and very low maintenance, featuring Parkerized metal finish, synthetic stocks, and a chrome lined bore in the barrel. A chrome lined bore offers a more durable, more corrosion resistant, and easier to clean barrel for the end user to maintain and is rarely found on precision bolt action sniper rifles.

I just spoke with Mike at Tactical Coordination out of AZ and he said the rifle has a factory trigger pull of about 5 lbs. He also said that he removes the factory glass bedding and replaces it with a better material and puts a better bedding in it. Mike is a real nice guy and took his time and answered all my questions about the rifle. I would like to here from anyone that has fired this weapon though before jumping on it. I have a AR MK12 with a 18 in Douglas barrel as a semi tack drive. I just think I would like a bolt gun in my safe. So does anyone have one of these or fired one? :ber

I've had two. One I built up from an SPR action from CDNN. These are excellent rifles.

They really like this formula:
LC Match brass
168SMK
44.0gr IMR4895
(primers didn't really make a difference)

With the 175's I use 43.0 gr

Both of mine were spot on with the same load, and it is a bit of a common concoction.

I remember when Mike S.built that rifle,Soooo sexy [smilie=pdt_xtremez_23.gif]

I have had the PBR's too,and liked them a lot (with work)

They will do everything one needs, and doesn't need much work. I do suggest a Jewell trigger though, much better than the Timney for my needs.

My pictures are on my other computers hard drive that crashed [smilie=012.gif] ,or I could share.

Thanks alot for the info. I guess my wallets going to be a lot lighter [smilie=011.gif] I think for the price I'll just have him put the Millet TRS-1 4X16X50 scope he sells on it for the price he has them at and they have got some good reviews
