Anyone able to lend a hand?

Postby Doc_Fuller » Sun Aug 28, 2011 10:15 pm

Ok,

Long story short and no names will be changed to protect the incompetent. My wife bought me a Slr-106 CR while I was in Iraq in 2009 to replace the one that got stolen while I was there in 2007. Gun ran great and shot allot of PP Brass cased 55g ammo out of it, then my little brother barrows it to shoot a class before he deploys and all hell breaks loose with it. FTF, FTE, and Fail to Fricken Work! After toying around with it for a few months I let my brother have a wack at it and that is where I screwed up. He blamed the mags and said they locked the BCG, "so I will install a AR mag adapter and all will be good." Against my better judgement I let him..... Now its mag well is cut up and the front trunion looks like crap and guess what the mag well wont fit because someones dremel was not long enough to finish the grinding....

So What I was wondering if anyone has the tools and time to help me strip off the rear trunion(AKS74type), front sight gas block combo, trigger gaurd, and convert a Saiga .223 over to look like my dead SLR-106 CR? I live in West Palms area and only have Sundays away from my business so time may be tight(in other words it may be a couple of weekends). Thanks for anyone's help in this madder,

Tony

sounds like an issue with the rails .....before you hack into it any further how about some pics, unless the receiver is destroyed you might be able to repair it and paint it with duracoat or something
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Send it to Don's Guns in Ft. Myers. If anyone can fix it, he can. GARY N4KVE
